Chap Go Meh (15th days of Chinese New Year)

We have arranged a gathering a Chap Go Meh's lunch with our pharmaceutical friends. We chose LTP Restaurant at Pengkalan Rama. While waiting for some of our friends, I took some of their photos.

Chloe & Cheong. Chloe dumped her boss to join us for this lunch. What a pitiful boss.
Gladys who is on her 3rd trimester pregnancy. Guess is a baby boy or baby girl?
As I was too hungry swallowing my food, I didn't take down the other dishes photo. So this is the only Yee Sang photo that I took. The Yee Sang presentation wasn't very good.
Chloe's husband, Lui also dumped his boss aside. Haha... What a compatible couple of the year!

Valentine's Day

Since we didn't celebrate Valentine's Day due to the prayer, we have postponed it to today. So how was our celebration? Though it was a normal celebration, we enjoyed it.

We went to Green World Cafe for our brunch. As usual, we ordered the 2 thumbs up Dry Mien Fen Kao. It is extremely delicious. Then we headed for shopping. Actually the aim is to pick the wedding band for Hubby B. Too bad, we couldn't get the design that we want.
After a tiring day, we pampered ourselves with Thai Foot Reflexology & Traditional Thai Herbal Massage at Scents & Senses at Melaka Raya. Again, we had spent an enjoyable & relaxing 2 hours there.
What have I gotten from Hubby B? One piece each of Nike & Adidas T-shirt. I fell in love the first time I saw this Nike T @ their concept store. However, I gave it up due to the price. Who knows my lovely pig has surprised me with this gift. Thanks BB.

Mum made this "Kuih Ang Ku" yesterday morning. Again, I do not know how to make it but if you are interested, I will get the recipe from my mum.

Huh? You brought your mum along to ask for the jelly? Shame on you! Haha... somebody's pant is torn. It's yours! Haha... Come, lets take a photo before the praying ceremony ended. This firework was not taken with my Canon Ixus 860. Great isn't it? Kai Jun: Mum, you told me not to play with fire. But why Daddy & Grandma are doing so?

2 Days Before 'Pai Tien Kong'

Last night, mum made this "Fa Kao" for this Thursday's prayer. I love it very much. Luckily mum has learned this recipe from Grandma. Me? Of course I have................. not learn this from her yet. Mum uses 100% sweet potatoes & gula melaka for this recipe. She also told me that it is not easy to make this recipe. Sometimes it just do not rise. Hence, we are restricted to say something like "Hey why has it not risen yet?" :p

Mum has made it. The "Fa Kao" rise so high up. It was a good sign as it symbolised all of us in the family will "rise" too. Hehe...
This morning, I brought mum to buy sugar canes. Mum's "Fa Kao" is on sales? Of course not. This "Fa Kao" was sold by the owner. It looks nice but wonder does it taste as good as my mum's recipe?
Everyone was busy choosing the flowers & also sugar canes for tomorrow's night "Pai Tien Kong". Today is everyone's birthday as well. Kai Jun was waiting for his parents to pick him out. They have an dinner appointment with their friends.Since only two of us for dinner, I asked mum not to cook tonight. We went to "ta pao" Sotong Kangkung & Fishballs Bean curds from this famous eatery at Bunga Raya.
Ah Xian was here too. The owner of this stall is getting old & I saw many new faces this time. I believe that he has started to pass down his skills to his disciples. Anyway, I think they were not very well organized when it comes to ordering as well as BBQ-ing the bean curd fish balls. For the one that is going to take over his business, please learn as much as you can from him & also continue his passion in this business.
Mum & I celebrated our birthday with this simple snacks & roti prata with rendang. Happy Birthday folks!
