I'm sorry, my precious Kai Jun!

Apr 12, 2009

I supposed to blog about my dinner with Hubby B at Elcerdo KL but my precious nephew, Kai Jun has placed a much more important role at this moment. I decided to blog about him after seeing the video clip that my SIL sent it to me.

I must admit that I was a little too harsh on him last Tues. It happened when he asked me a question.

"Ku Ku, spell your name!"

After I spelt my name to him, I got him to spell his name to me.

"Kai Jun."

"What about your surname?"

He looked at me innocently. I raised up my tone.

"You do not know your surname?"

Fine. I wrote on his book and wanted him to read alphabet by alphabet - LOH KAI JUN.

I made a condition to him that if he failed to read out his full name (without looking at the book), then he could not play the games in my iPhone already.

He read few times. Sometimes serious and sometimes playful. When I asked if he is ready for the challenge, he knodded his head.

"KAI JUN."

"Your surname? The first word in your name!"

He requested to look at the book again. Fine. Last chance and I told him to call me when he is prepared.

Again! "KAI JUN."

"Hey what is your surname? Gong Gong, PaPa, KuKu, SuSu & Lucas has it too."

He turned to my mum, his grandma to seek for help.

"Don't look at Ah Ma. She can't help you. Fine. No more iPhone for you!"

Suddenly, he cried out loud. He told me that he don't know! I scolded him. At the end, he slept with his tears and his milk bottle. I checked with his mum and realised that she has never taught him his surname before. Oops.... I have misunderstood him. I thought that he was taught before. I felt so bad after the incident.

I felt even hurt when I watched the clip just now. He is a smart boy. At his age - 3.5 years old, he can read a short story book.

"This is Brownie.
Brownie is a dog.
This is my dog.
I like my dog.
I like Brownie.

Oh No! (with full expression)

I like Brownie.
I like the dog but ........."

He pointed and read word by word. I wish that I could share the clip here but I failed to save it because of the programe problem. I feel terribly hurt with what I have done to him. I know that he doesn't blame me but I just like to apologise to him.

"I'm sorry, my precious!"

It is not easy raising up a child. Though I'm expecting now, I know that it is not going to be an easy journey. Throughout this journey, I'm sure that we will face lot of challenges & disappointment. It depends on how we shower our children with our love and patience. I might not be a good mother but I will try my best to learn and understand their needs.

We Had A Busy Morning!

Jan 8, 2008

While I was sleeping, I heard some noises. Sounded like somebody is shouting. Then I heard the phone rang and also the knock on our window. I thought my dad was drunk & couldn't opened the gate. So I woke my mum up.

Few minutes later, my mum told me that our neighbour's aunty wanna talk to us. Suddenly my mind told me that it might be a thief on the rooftop. We went out & realized that her husband was in hysteria. He shouted & screamed on & off. Since their children are working abroad, she has asked us to help her to calm him down. I do not think this is a good idea after all we are lady. So I offered to call ambulance for her.

I was quite pissed-off with our private hospital attitude. After telling his condition to the medical attendant, I was disappointed with their response. Firstly, the Ms 'M' told me that their one & only driver on-call has gone out for an emergency case. Wow... How could a medical center has one driver only? They told me that the driver will be back late. So it is best for me to call government hospital. The neighbour's aunty wanted her husband to admit to private hospital. So I call up another one, Mr. P. They were much better. They agreed to send the ambulance immediately. However, few minutes later, they called & told me that they do not have psychiatrist in the hospital. So again, please get the help from government hospital. Don't you think that they were too much? They gave all sort of excuses for not offering a single help.

I ended up calling Hospital Melaka. Great. Their service is superb. They reached my neighbour house in less than 10 minutes. My mum & I accompanied their 2 relatives (elderly aunty) to the hospital. The A&E doctor told me that the uncle blood glucose level was very low, about 2.7. They needed to examine him further. After the Ding Ding Dong Dong, it was about 4am already. I sent my mum back worried that she is tired.

Before leaving to work this morning, I sent the aunty to the hospital again. She wanted to transfer him out to private hospital. Moreover, there weren't any bed available. Later, she changed her mind & wanted to keep him there since his son couldn't came back in time. Luckily, I got the help from my doctor. He managed to put the uncle into his ward. Basically he explained that the abnormal behavior was due to his hypoglycemia. Besides, he has also very high blood pressure reading at 178/102. He also lost control in his urination. So my doctor suspected he has UTI but has oredered an urine culture for him. What a wonderful I have known.

His son is finally back. Hope they can take good care of him. Wishing you a speedy recovery, uncle.

Tag: 2007

Jan 2, 2008

Uncle Sam sent me this tag during Christmas. I have been delaying because I want to wait till the end of year 2007. Who knows I might get the best out of the best memory! Greedy & kiasu huh.

Rules :
1. Copy from "Start Copy" until "End of Copy".
2. Before "End of Copy", share your best memories of 2007 include your name and your URL blog.
3. Share this tag to your friends.

For me, the year 2007 had a lot of happiness (and hope for 2008). Happiness because i see my son, grow and grow day by day. I have a great husband. I met lots of new friends from around the world via blogging ^_^ - Juliana RW

In 2007, I become happier than before because my hubby’s got promotion and sure his salary had been increased. This had made my life more comfortable but everything seemed to cost an arm and a leg nowadays. The happiest memory is I see Nelson’s tummy becoming bigger and bigger, he can now count number 1 to number 10, by my guidance. He loves eating and he enjoys every meal. He gives us a lot of happiness by the way he mimic our talking style and making such lovely faces. At first, I was so scared to look after him but now I hope he can be with me all the time. Even I feel tired everyday but I feel my life is meaningful. Hazel

My life in Year 2007 is full of "roller-coaster" and a real challenge to me. I don't like it and it's a BAD year for me. No matter what, I'm glad & proud of myself for making a "come back". I'll continue to strive for betterment from personal development to career and family. I promise myself that I'll never look back in anger, the past will only make me stronger and I'll do what should I do in full force. So, lets hope there's a GOOD kick-start in Year 2008. Dora:)

Life during 2007 have full of joy and happiness. It is all in our mind. We must not get carried away in pursuit of $, career and happiness. We must live within our means and not spend on things that you do not need. We Malaysian are a very fortunate lots as compared to many people around the world especially the third world countries. How can we not be happy.??The most meaningful memories of 2007 is the recent pilgrimage trip that I made to Nepal, it is so meaningful and enlightening that I view life in a different perspective and live a much happier life. FL Sam

2007? A year which was filled with spices. Anyway, I don't think I'd want to remember those unhappy moments. But when I come to think about it, I actually have learnt from those incidents too. It changed my perspective & also made me become a better person. Well, my best memories in 2007 will be the proposal from my Hubby B which I received on 11-Dec! Yes, your guess is correct. We are getting married this year. Though it was a simple "China Ah Pek" proposal, but it was really an unforgettable moments for both of us. Life is Beautiful; Life is Love

I am not going to pass the tag to anybody as most of you have completed it already. So we will give you all our very best wishes in Year 2008.

He Has Landed in The Ward!

Nov 12, 2007

I am so unlucky today. After having lunch with my friends at Melaka Raya, I decided to feed my car's stomach at Shell petrol kiosk at Bandar Hilir. I usually go to Shell petrol kiosk at Semabok. However, due to the urgent signal given by my car, I have no choice but to find the nearest station. I paid RM 73 for V-power as I will be travelled to Seremban tomorrow.

After collecting back my stock from a clinic near Munshi Abdullah, I continued my journey to Ong Kim Wee. While driving, I can feel my car jerking. Then I stopped opposite my brother's pharmacy. Oh no... He was so restless. His heart is pumping slower and slower. What is happening? Please.... please don't do that to me! Should I call an ambulance?

So I S.O.S. my brothers. Godzila (my elder brother) called his mechanic. Uncle mechanic came after 20 mins time. He suspected that it might due to the spark plug. So he drove my 'beloved' to his hospital.

Of course I called BB to manja2 lor. After telling him the entire story, he told me that this jerk might also caused by the mixture of the petrol with water. Hmm.. make sense too.

About 7pm, I received a piece of bad news from brother Ralph. Uncle mechanic failed to rescue 'my love' and has asked us to send it to the service center. He changed the spark plug, he tested with his high-tech computer, he thought of all the possible problems & he concluded that the culprit must be the petrol!!

I was so frustrated with such unethical behaviour. Though petrol price is high, do you think that it is right to earn max profit by cheating the customers? I definitely going to lodge a complaint to Shell later. BB called again & advised me to get the report from Toyota first. Then only officially lodge the complaint to Shell. 2 possibilities; the petrol kiosk owner really mixes their petrol with kerosene (according to uncle mechanic, they just recently changed owner) or during their recent renovation, the water was kept inside. BB always acts so calmly when it comes to problem solving.

I will see what is the investigation outcome from Toyota tomorrow. Then I will share it with you all, ya. Folks, to prevent this incident to happen again, please visit those reputable petrol kiosk, ok.

Why He Never Change?

Oct 2, 2007

We are human, therefore we make mistakes. Making mistakes is human nature, none of us are exempted. Even when writing this post, I will have to write many times till I feel is right. We should know, admit & learn from the mistake we have done.

But I don't understand that why certain people just refused to learn from their mistake? They first time you made a mistake, you are forgiven. But if you've promise not to repeat the mistake but still, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th,..... times you did it again, then do you think that this person is forgiven? The situation is worsen when the mistake started to hurt the love one around you. It not only messed up everyone's life but it also ruined everyone's happiness.

I'm a Cake Mania

Sep 30, 2007

I'm addicted to Cake Mania recently. I bought it for RM 8 from Maxis. It isn't a complete game because it only has the Home Bakery & Beach version. The full version should included the Circus & Casino.

As I'm new to this game, I was a bit slow when I played it at the first time. After my frequent practising & also my familiarization with the operation, then I started to score better & better on my each game.

Hey... It is not an easy game to play. You need to bake the cakes as required by the customers at a specific time given. With the amount of money that you earn, you'll need to plan of which equipments to buy so that it will maximize your sales. If you bake the cake wrongly, it is either you keep it for the next customer who need it or you just have to throw it into the dustbin.

I'm expert of playing the game now. Haha... I shared it with BB yesterday. You can notice that he was like me during his first few games. But I do see his improvement if were to compared with his past few games. Great job, BB.

Try it & you will definitely addicted to it. However, I need to let you know that the one that played in the mobile phone is much more fun compared to the PC application. Believe it or not?

Life is the same too. We are not always on the smooth path. Sometimes there are up & down too. It is all depending on how we manage it. I believe with the determination & faith, we will succeed one fine day.

Will You Try It?

Sep 25, 2007

I was thirsty after having my homemade satay celup. So I thought of getting a glass of orange juice to drink. Suddenly I have this crazy idea to mix this Sunkist Orange Juice with balckcurrant Vitagen. Haha... wonder will it cause me diarrhea later???

Curious to see how it turned out to be after their marriage, right? Wait ya....

The presentation was good. The taste? Extremely good...........

If we never try, we will never know. If we never ask, we will never get!

Happy trying & more to come from me. :-)

My True Colours

Sep 19, 2007

Seems like everyone is having tough times to answer these questions. Well, Jo-N has done her part so it's my turn now to show you my true colours. Haha....

When are you getting married?
This question has been haunting me since last year. I also wanted to settle down. So when the time is right, I will announce to all of you, ok. It is very stress & tiring to answer this question sometimes. So please set me free at this moment.

Tidiness
I do not like people to mess up my place, especially my room. I like my things to be kept in proper sequence. I can even arrange my cloth accordingly to the colour of the hangers.

Don't follow me please
I hate sales person to follow me around when I do my shopping. It gives me the feeling as though as I want to steal their stuffs. Please la... will I do that? Besides, it is also uncomfortable & I will want to leave the shop a.s.a.p though there might be something that caught my eyes.

Taking advantage of people / cunning
I do not like people to take advantage on me, especially those that I helped them sincerely but at the end, they do not thank or appreciate you at all.

Selfish
If you don't like to share, then please do not expect people to share it with you.

Stop calling Malacca people as "katak di bawah tempurung" (unknowledgeable)
I can't stand it. This comment is from my present boss. It was none stop since the start of our journey to Trendak & back to Malacca. I can't stand him till I told him off to stop coming down to Malacca. Else, he will also become 'katak' too. What a sarcastic & childish manager I have.

Shhh.....
It is a secret. So when your love one or friends are willing to share their secret with you, then please keep it to yourself. I bet you also do not like your friends to spread around your secrets, right?

Cheat
I don't like to be cheated, especially in a relationship. I want an open & trusted relationship. Luckily, I have found the one.

Those who have told the TRUTH are:

And those who need to take this test now are:

Do You See The Wild Orchid?

Sep 10, 2007

Beautiful orchid right? Open your eyes as big as you could. See the white orchid in the first picture?

We always pass by this orchid plant that grows on the palm tree but we never bother to take a minute to look at it. Until last Saturday, when we were going out, then we discovered it! So without much delay, I snapped it up with my cybershot phone as a memory!

The same principle applies to us as well. We always fail to show our love & care to the people around us. I think a simple hello & a warm smile is enough to brighten a person's day! So start your day with a sunny smile!

They Are Old

Aug 12, 2007

While having breakfast at Uncle John, Giant this morning, I saw Winnie's parents. Her dad looks thin & old already if I were to compare him during our secondary time. It touches my heart suddenly.

Well, please take a look of our parents. They are getting older either. My dad & mum used to be so healthy & full of energy when we were young. As times go by, you will hear their complaints as below:

"Aiyo... last time no matter how late I stayed, especially during Chinese New Year's eve, I still felt so energetic the next day. But now, even like 11pm, I feel so restless already!" (Hehe... it's my mum usual complaint!)

I noticed their transformation. I love my parents, especially my mum. She is a very traditional lady. She has sacrified a lot for our family. She is 56 years old now but she has not been to any great places for holidays. We always wanted to bring her for holidays but she always turn us down. Her principle is she will never wanna spend her children hard earn money for "luxury" holidays! (Hmmm........ Mi ah Mi, can't you stop thinking of that? Our paths of growing weren't easy for you either. It is time for you to relax now!)

Sometimes we do hurt her but she will never argue. She will keep herself quiet there but I know that she is sad. She also shared with me that no matter how angry she is, her love to us will never change. Even Brother Godzila has married with a son, she still treats him like a child that has never grown. I used to complain that she over pampered Brother Godzila. She always reply that her love to us is equally same. Just that little brother & I know to take care of ourselves, especially when come to food. Imagine that at the age of 34, my mum still has to cut the fruits for him. Whereby we will just grab it from the fridge. Haha....... "tam chiak"!

My dad? Hmmm....... when I was a child, I like my dad. He will never turn me down when I asked for my birthday present, my rewards when I had scored good result, casettes, etc. This habit stopped on my 2nd year in university. I remembered my last gift from him were my Guess watch & a Nokia handphone.

Our relationship started to fade off when I graduated & started my work in Melaka. He drinks so much & he was drunk most of the times. My mum was the most tortured one. Every of his words hurt her so much. I felt the pain whenever I heard it as my room was just next to them. He was no longer the father I used to admire (My Pa achieved many sales achievement awards from Welcome & Unilever before. He has a great selling skills according to Uncle Frank. He even had the chance to promote as a sales manager in Unilever but he gave up this golden opportunity as they required him to be based in KL).

Though we always tell our mum that we have given up on him but deep in our heart, we still care for him. He has MI attack 4 years ago. All of us were so worried & of course we were afraid of losing him. Brother Godzila drove all the way down from JB that night & I stayed in the hospital to look after him. According to Dr. Lim, 2 of his main arteries were blocked. He did not do angioplasty for him because his health condition was a bit complicated. He has cholesterol, diabetic & hypertension. Doctor Lim wanted him to change his lifestyle. For the 1st 3 months, he was so obedient. He stopped drinking & he even took all the healthy food. However, this lifestyle didn't last long.

He started to drink once again. We were disappointed with him. We are worrying of his health but he doesn't seem to care for himself (A little secret to share here. My dad is a very good patient. He will take his medication on-time & pay the visit to the doctor as per the appointment fixed). Mum is still hoping that he will kick off his bad habit. Frankly speaking, I don't hope that he will kick off entirely but at least reduce the intake & also cut off the day of drinking from his calender. Just wish that he will realise it one day. We care for you, Pa.

I'm So Lucky!

Aug 10, 2007

This simple words caught my attention when I turned to the very first page of the book.

Please give some thoughts that you are actually the lucky one!

We can't force happiness to happen to us! As long as we do not force & we are satisfy, then we will naturally feel the happiness is surrounding us all the times.

幸福是不能强求的,快乐也是不能勉强的,只要我们愈不强求,愈是满足, 就愈能体验幸福与分享快乐,因为有舍才有得。

Unhappy Day

Jun 21, 2007

Roger called me this morning. He informed me that there is a organization restructuring effective next week. I will no longer report to him but Uncle KC. Upon getting the news, I was so frustrated till I argued with him. He has been a very good boss. He taught me a lot of things. He given me lots of freedom & trust. Moreover, he is very straight forwards & not long winded. While my boss-to-be, I just don't like to report to him. It doesn't mean he is not good but newly promoted manager will always act differently. You will never get the answer you want from him & he is very long...........winded.

My day was spoilt with this news plus the call I got last night. My mind is totally messy. I can't get the answer I wanted. So I spent my day shopping & coloring my hair. However, it was not an enjoyable one.

Life is so unpredictable sometimes. The more we hope for something, the highest our disappointment will be. So, just let things go naturally. I don't want to be an unhappier person.

I hope he'll be fine

Jun 17, 2007

Just back from home & mum told me that godzila will be doing his colonscopy procedure tomorrow. That was the reason that he was on plain dient for the past 2 days. Ee Ting told me that he has been worried ever since they done the blood cell test. Moreover, recent papers has published that the coloracteral cancer is the 1st killer in Malaysia. I understand how is he feeling now & I have been thru this fear before when I discovered that I have endometriosis in end Dec 2006. I really hope he will be perfectly ok after the procedure. He has been a very good brother & son all this while. Just that we do not show our concerns & care towards each others. But we actually care. Guess mum will has a sleepless night.....

What Is The Purpose of Living?

May 8, 2007

Do u ever think how should u live in your life? I just finished watching a Taiwan talk show. It is a life story of how a young man fight against stage 3 bowel cancer . He was only 28 years old during that time. He was badly hit by the news as he never thought that he will be the victim. Luckily, with the supports of his family, he managed to face his problems strongly. He has completed his 1st stage of his chemotherapy, & he is scheduled for surgery soon. Lets hope that he will successfully fight against his cancer & live happily ever after.
A normal person like us would never think of how should we spend our life meaningfully. We will always complain this & that. It supposed to be like this, it supposed not to be like that, ..... When something strike u, like the young man I mentioned above, then only you start to cherish every single of your moment in life. You will want to live to your fullness!
So, how would u want to live in your entire life? This is still a question for me to work on. How about you?

The Real World Is Cruel

May 7, 2007

Following are the sms that I had with BB after the end of Chelsea game with Arsenal on Sunday:

Stephanie: BB, why is Jose behaved so emotional huh?
Tak Feng: I was also surprised he is so emotional. Well, if Chelsea sacked him,
I'll be surprised. He done well.
Stephanie: Ya lor. He did well. The real world is so cruel!
Tak Feng: Well, that's what people said. I don't believe that. I believe in our
heart.

I somehow can't figure out his meaning! Maybe I'll ask BB this Fri & then I will post it to the blog later, k.

In my opinion, life is nothing less than brutally cruel for every life form, including both plants and animals. Any animal that canot fend for itself for food, defence or shelter will either die or be eaten. A plant that grows in an uninviting place with too much competition or too little protection or nutrition will die. Nature shows no mercy.

I'd think that the life forms that can adapt best to changing conditions will survive. In addition to the many other skills needed to survive, successful animals and plants need to be able to adapt.

One of the biggest expectations we always make about life is that it is predictable. There is nothing predictable, fair or even safe about life. At any time. Self deception or believing someone that tells us that life will be good for us will keep us from facing the truth about ourselves.

Those who are prepared to cope with life's circumstances, especially as they change, will survive and thrive best. As life seems to be changing more rapidly than previously in history, we may want to consider teaching coping skills in order to better prepared ourselves for the trials and tribulations we will face later.
